Job DescriptionJOB DESCRIPTIONJob Title Category Manager– FoodDepartment Sales/MarketingLocation/Duty Station UgandaReports To Chief Sales Officer / Branch ManagerJob PurposeThe Category Manager is responsible for the management of Sales and Distribution functions. Your major responsibilities are managing the company’s key accounts, overseeing the sales activities, the performance of your sales force by tracking sales goals and KPIs, setting individual sales targets and facilitate the ongoing training to the sales force. Special Working Conditions (if any) Key Responsibilities:  Manage and handle key accounts (Distributors, Sub-Distributors, Stockist, Wholesalers and Supermarkets) and devote your 70 % time to the market.  Ensure that all Credit Customers must sign the Credit Agreement and make payments on agreed terms.  Reconciles Credit Customers accounts on a fortnightly/monthly basis and provide their statements.  Managing organizational sales & distribution functions by developing a Strategic business plan that covers sales, distribution, expands the customer base, revenue, and expense controls.  Develop, maintain, and execute a territory plan.  Update customer’s database regularly.  Be knowledgeable about the company’s products & services.  Communicate to Customers the features, benefits and values of a company’s products & services to drive sales.  Continually assess current business distribution channels, develop, and evaluate their performance and manage conflict ensuring alignment with territory plans.  Setting individual sales targets with the sales force.  Overseeing the activities and performance of the sales force.  Analyse sales figures and forecast future sales.  Propose innovative ideas to increase market share.  Manage, guide, develop, coach, control and motivate the sales force to develop their skill to ensure that a high professional standard is achieved and monthly sales target and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) target are met.  Conduct promotional activities & product launches.  Identify emerging (developing) markets and market shifts (Changing) while being fully aware of new products and competition status.  Assessing market conditions and identifying opportunities.  Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs.  Prepare and submit weekly & monthly Sales reports by sales areas/routes by sales executives.  Ensure that all company’s vehicles are maintained in a clean and safe operating condition.  Prepare vehicle fuel consumption & maintenance report every quarter of the year.  Increasing brand awareness for the company within the community.  Ensure all route sales vehicles go to market at 7:30 AM and returns by 4:00 PM.  Ensure all route sales vehicles to be reconciled and loaded for the next day between 4:00 to 6:00 PM.  Conducting regular sales and operations meetings.  Takes up and performs any other duty as it may be assigned.
