- Position: Africa Operating Officer (AOO) - 1 Vacancy
- Reporting To: Senior Vice President, Africa Operations & Programs (SVP AO&P)
- Duty Station: Kampala, Uganda (with approximately 20% travel)
- Job Type: Full-time
- Works With: US & Africa Senior Leadership Teams
- Leadership & Strategy: Provide strategic and operational leadership to Africa operations, ensuring alignment with the organization's mission and Vision, Traction & Organizer (VTO). Lead the development and implementation of Annual Operating Plans and track performance through KPIs and scorecards.
- Operational Excellence: Oversee cross-functional coordination across operations, finance, HR, programs, and ICT to ensure efficient and scalable processes.
- Financial Oversight: Support budgeting, financial planning, and performance monitoring in collaboration with the Finance team to ensure financial discipline and alignment with strategic goals.
- Human Resource Leadership: Promote a high-performance, values-driven culture, supporting performance management and staff development initiatives.
- Stakeholder & Donor Engagement: Coordinate donor and partner visits, strengthen relationships, and ensure effective communication between Africa and US leadership teams.
- Strategic Projects & Sustainability: Lead cross-functional strategic initiatives and support business development and investment opportunities to enhance long-term organizational sustainability.
- Governance & Compliance: Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and organizational policies across all operations.
- Strong leadership and people management skills

- Proficiency in technology and data-driven decision-making
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Economics, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- Master's degree in Business Administration, Leadership, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a senior leadership role managing cross-functional teams.
- Experience in a donor-funded or NGO environment is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated experience in implementing operational and performance management systems.
- Familiarity with ERP or similar operating systems is an added advantage.
- Practicing Christian, aligned with the organization's faith-based mission.
- Preferred age range: 30-45 years.
