- · Contribute to revenue growth by supporting business development initiatives, including proposal preparation and client pitches.
- · Assist in the preparation of engagement budgets and monitor engagement economics, ensuring timely billing and collections.
- · Identify and discuss potential tax planning opportunities that align with clients' business strategies to enhance tax efficiency.
- · Support tax dispute resolution efforts, ensuring efficient management of client tax liabilities and penalties.

- · Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering their technical and professional development.
- · Share knowledge and best practices with the team, facilitating learning sessions and on-the-job training.
- · Collaborate with managers, directors, and partners to deliver client services effectively, ensuring high-quality outputs.
- · Maintain strong relationships with internal teams, leveraging expertise across service lines to provide holistic client solutions.
- · Develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients, ensuring continuous engagement and responsiveness to their needs.
- · Provide tax advisory services, including VAT, corporate tax, PAYE, capital gains tax, withholding tax, customs duties, and other tax matters.
- · Conduct tax compliance reviews and due diligence, identifying risks and opportunities for clients.
- · Assist clients in obtaining private tax rulings and resolving tax disputes with authorities.
- · Keep up to date with tax legislation changes, advising clients on the impact of regulatory updates.
- · Plan, execute, and complete tax engagements, ensuring compliance with firm and industry standards.
- · Prepare tax computations, review tax returns, and ensure timely filing of statutory tax obligations.
- · Conduct tax health checks to assess client compliance and recommend corrective measures.
- · Assist in the development of tax training materials and technical newsletters for knowledge sharing.
- · Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure comprehensive client service delivery.
- · Identify tax-related risks in client operations and recommend risk mitigation strategies.
- · Ensure compliance with internal firm policies, ethical guidelines, and professional tax standards.
- · Review tax computations and documentation to maintain accuracy and mitigate compliance risks.
- · Uphold high standards of objectivity, independence, and integrity in service delivery.
- · Bachelor's Degree in Tax/Accountancy/Finance
- · Qualified Professional Accountant- CPA/ACCA
- · Minimum 3-4 years of working experience in the tax fields.
- · Strong tax technical knowledge across direct and indirect taxes as well as regulatory requirements.
- · Proficiency in English and French is essential. Kirundi language skills are desirable.
- · Good at meeting deadlines and solving problems.
- · Exceptional client service along with the ability to develop excellent client relationships.
- · Strong leadership and personnel management skills.
- · Excellent analytical skills with detailed orientation
